Exomission’s technology portfolio makes completely innovative, highly economical combinations of procedures possible in order to reduce exhaust gas emissions specifically according to problems and applications. Depending on the requirement, it is possible to use FWE technology and an SCR system in combination. By precisely matching the design of the two technologies, we are in a position to offer ship operators customised solutions that are characterised by incomparably high cost efficiency.

This means that it is possible to design the SCR system for further NOx reduction to be smaller (and therefore even more cost-efficient) when the Exomission emulsion procedure is used as the primary technology that leads to a reduction of nitrogen oxides by approximately 30%. AdBlue® consumption can also be drastically reduced.

For example, if the engine raw emissions are required to be reduced by 60%, the emulsion system can eliminate the first 30% and the SCR system the remaining 30%. This reduces AdBlue® consumption by 50%. Assuming an additional fuel saving of 2%, the operating costs for the SCR system can be completely balanced out in extreme cases with the help of the emulsion. The side effect: additional, parallel soot reduction of up to 90%, completely independent of the respective sulphur content of the heavy oil used.
