Uwe Israel, Dipl.-Ing. Maschinenbau (graduate mechanical engineer)

After initial industrial experience as an engineer at Mercedes-Benz and Audi, TÜV Hessen was his first formative professional position in 1993. Uwe Israel continues to benefit today from the experience he gained there as a state-recognised expert in motor vehicle traffic, particularly in the field of type approval, including for large, globally-active companies. In 2000, he moved to a small business in the field of exhaust gas aftertreatment. As technical manager, he had an influence on the development of exhaust gas aftertreatment systems from a very early stage.

Recognising the huge prospects of this new market, he acquired an interest in the company in 2004 and was appointed Managing Director. With his sights on subsequent flotation, he was instrumental in the conversion to a public limited company, became the Development Executive for this public limited company and the Managing Director of a subsidiary. At the end of 2011, he and his partner decided to take the next step and start their own business. Uwe Israel has now been Managing Director of Exomission Umwelttechnik GmbH since January 2012.

Stefan Fischer, Dipl.-Ing. Maschinenbau (graduate mechanical engineer)

His affinity with vehicles and combustion engines was reflected as early as in his vocational training as a motor vehicle mechanic and the mechanical engineering degree that he subsequently completed. This is how Stefan Fischer acquired his thorough basic knowledge. The professional paths of the two Exomission Managing Directors crossed for the first time at TÜV Hessen: from 1997, Stefan Fischer was also responsible for international type approvals there and authorised as an accredited expert in appraising in order to grant the European vehicle type approval. In 2001, he moved to a small business in the field of exhaust gas aftertreatment. There, he had a considerable part in the growth and market position, initially as a developer and homologation expert and then later as a technical manager and authorised representative. At the end of 2011, he and his partner decided to take the next step and start their own business. Stefan Fischer has now been Managing Director of Exomission Umwelttechnik GmbH since January 2012.
